Terms

Every one of these has to be true, and the software checks each of them:

· A grocery or general retail shop that is on our list. Shops we do not recognise are queued for review, not accepted.
· Printed within the last 24 hours, judged by the time on the receipt, not when you upload it.
· Carrying a readable QR or barcode.
· In the currency of the country you selected.
· Not a refund, return, void, reprint or duplicate.
· Not a gift card or top-up. Those are money in another form, not a purchase.
· Its totals add up.

A receipt pays once, to whoever scans it first. The same receipt from a second wallet is refused. Photographing it again from a different angle does not change that.

The receipt total is converted to US dollars at the rate on the day, then to PAYU at the published rate. Both are recorded on the scan and never recalculated, so a later change cannot alter what you have already earned.

There is a daily allowance, measured over a rolling 24 hours rather than reset at midnight. A receipt worth more than what is left of it is accepted and paid up to the remaining allowance; the rest is not carried over and the receipt cannot be scanned again. The reward screen shows you both figures.

The reward rate, the allowance and the freshness window are settings, not constants. We can change them. Changes apply to scans made after the change.

Opening a Pass locks 10,000,000,000 PAYU in a smart contract. A 5% fee is taken at the moment you open it and is not refundable. The rest is your principal.

Your principal is yours and you can take it back at any time. There is no lock period, no notice, and no permission needed from us. The exit function needs no signature from our servers, so it works even if we are offline, and it works even if the contract is paused. Nobody, including us, can take your principal — the contract does not have a function that could.

What comes back is the same number of PAYU you locked, minus the fee already taken. What those tokens are worth in your currency depends on the market, and that risk is yours.

Rewards accumulate on your account and are withdrawn to your wallet when you choose, at most once every 24 hours. You pay the network fee. Your wallet shows it before you confirm.

Withdrawals are paid from a reward pool. If the pool is short we will tell you and ask you to come back, rather than let a transaction fail after you have paid to send it. Your balance is not lost when that happens.

Forged, altered or manufactured receipts. Receipts you did not obtain by shopping. Automating the app. Attacking the service.

A ban stops you earning and withdrawing rewards, and rewards not yet withdrawn may be removed. A ban never touches staked principal — the exit function does not ask us for permission, so your deposit stays yours whatever we think of you.

We act on evidence, not suspicion, and every action is written to a log with a stated reason. If you think we got it wrong, write to us and say so.

The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, that every genuine receipt will be read correctly, or that a shop you use will be on the list. OCR misreads things. A rejection is not an accusation.

We are not liable for the market price of PAYU, for network fees you pay, for a wallet or private key you lose, or for a transaction you sign.
